“BE PART OF SOLUTION”

“BE PART OF SOLUTION”

AWAS! Jangan pula kita menjadi “part of the problem ” dalam organisasi kita.

Gift from Allah

Saad Abi Waqas

23 years before Hijr, a baby named Saad bin Malik bin Uhaid bin Abdul Manaf Al-Zuhri or known as Abu Ishaq and Faris Al-Islam was born in Mecca. No one ever thought that the small baby someday would became one of the most important man in the history of Islam.
He grown up just like the other ordinary teenagers, but he has deep passion in archery. All his free time filled with practicing archery. He looked prepared for a battle. But what battle? No one know yet about the future. He always felt like missing something inside, and keep looking for it. He realised that his life should be improved for a better life during the Ignorance. He didn't have interest like other teenagers at his age. All his action and decision were beyond  the common peers made him became so special.
One night, he got a weird and unexplainable dream. In his dream, he was lost somewhere in a very dark place and he couldn't see anything. Suddenly, he saw a full moon with very bright light and light up everything near by. There were a few person following that moon light which are Zaid bin Harits, Abu Talib and Abu Bakar As-Siddiq, and he asked them,
"When do you got here?"
They said,
"Just now".
When he woke up, he wondered about his dream and  on the same time, the news of Rasulullah was spreading Islam in silent started to spread. So, he became confident that it was not just a dream but a sign that he has been looking for, which is Islam is the best for him. He looked for Rasullulah right after that and found him when Rasulullah s.a.w done performing salat Asr, and he bear witness to Allah s.w.t in front of Rasullulah s.a.w. From that time, he was officially became a Muslim, and the third men that convert into Islam after Abu Bakr and Zaid bin Harith .

There is nothing easy in this life, especially if we want to do a good deed. Challenge will always right after us during the journey. Rasullulah s.a.w have said that, "Allah never test His slave if they cannot endure it". News about Saad Abi Waqas became a Muslim had been spread all over the Mecca. Not as an exceptional, his mother also received the news. She became really upset due to the action taken by her son, becoming a Muslim. His mother refused to take any food or drink and forced him to change to their old religion. No one can ever endure Saad Abi Waqas faith towards Allah s.w.t. He refused to do it and he said to his mother,
"If you have 100 life, and the Angel take it one by one, I would never and ever change my religion !"
Allah said,
"We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) you to join Me (in workship) anything of which you have no knowledge, obey them not. You have (all) to return to Me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all you did"
(Surah Al-Ankabut verse:8)
Lastly, his mother gave up and ate. He was one of the 10 man that had been promised the Heaven that have been said by Rasulullah s.a.w.
He began to contribute to Islam with a very high and good reputation. He joined lots of battle such as Badr, Uhud and battle against Persia. In Badr battle, he went with his brother, Umair but Umair didn't survive and became one of the 14 Syuhada in the battle. During the Uhud battle, he became one of 10 person that give their precious life to protect Rasulullah s.a.w. When the Muslim army become up side down because of the disobedient  to Rasulullah s.a.w. order to stay on  the mountain, he protected Rasulullah s.a.w. with everything that he got, and every single arrow that he shot would strike the enemies.
In the battle against Persia, he was sent as the commander. Alhamdulillah, they won the battle at the Narawand and then moved to Al-Madain. In Al-Madain, they have to cross the Eufrat river. Saad Abi Waqas asked all his army to leave their horses and said,
" We ask help from God and believe in Him. Sufficient for us is Allah representative. There is no strength and power than Allah the Most High, Most Great".
Miracle did happen by the help of Allah s.w.t, they continued their journey by walking on the river. This show the Greatness  and Love of Allah to His slave that fought for Him. They arrived at the Qadisiyah with high spirit to fight Kuffar. On that day, the commander of Persian army, Rustam dead. His death caused Persian army became scared and easy to be defeated. Muslim army won the battle.
Saad Abi Waqas had also became one of the nominee for the selection for new caliph, but Saidina Uthman Al-Affan had been chosen to replace Umar Al-Khatab. During the time Ali Bin Abu Thalib became the forth caliph, a turbulence occurred between Ali and Muawiyah due to usurpation. He did not want to interfere  turbulence between them and he ever said that,

"There are two things that you should remember and two things that you should forget which are:
-The two things that you should remember are:
1. Good deed that other person did to you.
2. Your bad deed to others
-The two things that you should forget are:
1. Your good deed to others
2. Other bad deed to you
He lost his sight nearly at the end of his life and died at age 80 years old, 55 Hijr at his house in Al-'Aqiq, 5 miles from the Medina. He contributed a lot for the sake of Islam and we never could repay what he has done for Islam.
